Personal: Alanis’ family includes mom Carrie, sister Jada, and grandparents Bill and Peggy. She started playing volleyball when she was 15. She chose this sport because her favorite teacher was coaching and convinced her to try out for the team. She is currently an undeclared major. She hopes to become a high school teacher/volleyball coach.  In her spare time she enjoys painting, going camping, and reading.

Athletic Highlights: Captain and MVP two consecutive years for Team Sierra Volleyball Club. 18s.

Significant Sport Achievement: My club team winning 1^st place at our Reno tournament.

Most embarrassing thing that happened in her sport: Catching the ball during a game my first year.

Favorite Teacher: My sophomore English teacher, Mrs. C, because she’s the one who introduced me to volleyball.
