PLEASANT HILL (11-7) – Cosumnes River traveled to Pleasant Hill to take on Diablo Valley College. The Hawks swept the Vikings 3-0.
The offense was strong for the Hawks combining for thirty-nine kills and a .330 hitting percentage. Kylie Pires led the offense with eleven kills on twenty-five attempts for a .320 hitting percentage. Taryn Oberle and Elizabeth Smith combined for seventeen kills and a .571 hitting percentage. Oberle contributed nine of the seventeen kills while hitting .562 during the match while Smith hit .583 and picked up eight kills of her own.
The defense was just as effective for the Hawks. The Hawks combined for ten blocks, seven service aces, and forty-six digs. Rebakkah McLaughlin and Smith both picked up a solo block as well as an assisted block. Ashanti Cason picked up two assisted blocks. Oberle picked up three assisted blocks as well for the Hawks. Abigail Hicks picked up fourteen digs and six service aces. McLaughlin also contributed fourteen digs and thirty assists for another double-double on the season. Emily Cox picked up seven digs for the Hawks.
