Hawks Fight Hard, Unable to Outlast ARC

Sacramento, CA - Cosumnes River traveled up the freeway to American River College to take on the Beavers at their gym. The Hawks battled hard, but their offense were unable to complete their attacks on the AR defense. The offense combined to hit .067 compared to the .231 of ARC. Taryn Oberle lead the Hawk offense with 5 kills. Kaley Dosier lead the team with a .286 kill percentage. Giovanna Parino added 16 assists to her season total. 

On the defenseive end, the Hawks tried to withstand the offive attack of the Beavers. Abigail Hicks lead the team with 17 digs. Aisnley Beckman picked up 8 digs to follow behind the Libero of the Hawks. The front line shined, as they combined for 3 solo blocks and 14 combo blocks against ARC. Miah Williamson picked up a solo block and 4 combo blocks. Taryn Oberle picked up 5 combos of her own. Deziree McKee added a solo and 3 combo blocks to the impressive defensive total for CRC.

Up Next - The Hawks (10-12) return home to take on Sierra College (15-7) on Wednesday. The game will begin at 6:30 pm on Clark Court in the Main Gym (CAC 100). With a week of homegames the upcoming week, Cosumnes River looks to start the homestand off with a strong match against the visiting Wolverines.
