Sacramento, CA - The Hawks took on the visiting Diablo Valley College Vikings in their second home conference match of the 2021 season. Both the offense and the defense were in sync as the Hawks brought home the victory with a 3-0 sweep (25-17, 25-16, 25-11). Cosumnes River College combined to hit .446 with 36 kills. Aija Redding and Miah Williamson both combined for 9 kills on the match. Emma Eigenberger and Maddy Motta contributed 5 kills each to help carry the load for the Hawk offensive attack. Grace Maddock (18 assists) and Giovanna Parino (15 assists) both tallied double digit totals in assists for the match. Grace Maddock also chipped in 4 service aces to help lead the Hawks to victory. 

Defense also helped keep the Vikings off balance as the Hawks limited their opponent to a .106 hitting percentage. Cosumnes River College combined for 14 blocks (1 solo, 13 assisted), stifling the offense for Diablo Valley College. Miah Williamson tallied 5 assisted blocks along with Maddy Motta's 1 solo and 4 assisted blocks. The back row racked up 43 digs, keeping any offensive attacks off the floor for the Vikings. Victoria Espinoza set the tone on defense with 11 digs, along with 9 from Aija Redding and 6 from Giovanna Parino.
