The Cosumnes River Hawks (2-0) exploded for 14 runs Saturday in a 14-4 win vs Shasta College (0-2). Dean Lucas had a big day with 3 RBI's on 2 hits. Jeremy Kolb, and Mark Aubrey also contributed with 2 hits on the day. Lead off batter Burle Dixon added 2 RBI's for the team win. The Hawks had a total of 10 hits and they were walked 13 times.

On the mound Freshman Nic Wilson got his first win of the year. Wilson threw 3 scoreless innings and then handed the game to the bullpen. Timmy Tarrant, and Corey Potthoff looked impressive in relief while the rest of the bullpen surrendered 6 walks. Cosumnes Hawks (2-0) will host Skyline College (0-2), at Conway Field Tuesday January 30th, at 2pm.
