Congress with another strong start!

Congress with another strong start!

The Cosumnes River Hawks (8-2) pitching looked good Tuesday afternoon. The Hawks beat Chabot College (2-7) 10 to 7. Josh Congress continues to pitch well striking out 9 batters in 5 innings of work. Daniel Vitoria followed Congress to close the game, earning him his first save of the year.

The offense took a couple innings to get going, but once they started it didn't stop. The Hawks had 2 big innings where they scored 5 runs. Those big innings were led by Damien Chavez, who had a team leading 5 hits. Joey Pankratz came up with another big hit in the season to give him 3 RBI's on the day. Alex Crouch added 2 hits plus an RBI for the team. The Hawks look to stay with their winning ways as they travel to Sequoias College (4-5) Friday.
