Walks, walks, and more walks was the storyline Saturday afternoon for the Hawks (5-5, 0-0 Big 8). Who lost Game 2 of the 3 Game series vs. College of the Sequoias this afternoon. The Hawks pitching staff gave up a season high 15 total walks, they surrendered 9 runs on just 7 hits.

The Hawks could not put any pressure on the Giants on the day and Losing pitcher Freshman Anthony Galindo (Dixon HS) just did not have his A stuff on the day. "It was a very rough afternoon as the tempo of the game just never got to where we wanted it to go. We have to do a better job of controlling the strike zone and starting hitters bats to give our guys on defense and offense a chance to compete." Pitching Coach David Smith

The offense was held scoreless for the first time on the the season but some bright spots came from Sophmores Henry Degnan and Brett Graber each going 2x4 on the day.

The Hawks return to action tomorrow (Sunday 2/16) for the rubber match of the 3 game series vs. COS. First pitch is set for 1:00 pm.
