This Week: The Hawks advanced to the CCCAA North California Baseball Regionals where they will take on Butte College. The regionals will take place Thursday through Friday and the first pitch of game one will be on Thursday at 2 pm 

Scouting the Hawks: Cosumnes River came in sixth in the Big 8 Conference regular season standings with a 19-20 overall record and a 9-15 record in conference play. Freshman Dhillon Abeid leads the Hawks with a .400 batting average. Sophomore Anthony Disantis leads the Hawks in ERA with a 3.31 ERA.

Scouting the Roadrunners: The Roadrunners finished with a 27-12 overall record and a 19-6 record in conference play. Jason Olsen leads the Roadrunners with a .417 batting average. Hunter Timothy leads the Roadrunners with a 2.59 ERA.

Last Time Out: This will be the first meeting between the two schools this season. The Hawks and Roadrunners have four common opponents – American River College, Sacramento City College, Shasta College and West Valley College. Cosumnes River has a 8-3 record against those opponents while the Roadrunners have a 9-3 record.

Don Mico is in his seventh year as head coach. He had previous coaching stops at Earl Wooster High School in Reno and Sacramento City College.
