Jaycob Velasco signed a full NCAA Division 2 athletic scholarship to play basketball next season at the University of Mary. The University of Mary is in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and is located in Bismarck, North Dakota. Jaycob has attended Cosumnes River College for a total of three years and has been an outstanding student athlete for the basketball team.
Men's Basketball defeated Lassen College in the 2nd round of the playoffs by a score of 88-69. Next, the Hawks will travel to Fresno to face #2 ranked Fresno City College on Wednesday, March 5th, at 7:30 PM. This will be the first meeting between the Hawks and the Fresno city Rams this season. If the Hawks come out and play like they did against Lassen, they will have a major chance to win this game.
The Hawks enter the 2014 CCCAA Men's Basketball Northern California Regional playoff bracket ranked 7th. CRC will start the bracket off in the 2nd round, facing number 10th ranked Lassen College on Friday February 28th, at 7:00 PM, at Cosumnes River College.

The two teams will meet for the second time this season on Friday, February 21st at 7:30 in Santa Rosa.
Sacramento, Calif. The Hawks defeated Sacramento City College 85-76. CRC improves to 21-5 overall, and 9-1 in the Conference, ranking them 1st in the Big 8, and 6th in the state! Sacramento City College falls to 12-12 overall, 5-5 in the Conference, ranking them 4th in the Big 8.
Elk Grove, Calif. The CRC Men's basketball team wins a thriller 62-61 over Diablo Valley College. With this win, the Hawks remain first place in the Big 8 with an overall record of 19-5, and a 7-1 record in the Conference. Diablo Valley College now has an overall record of 16-6, and a 4-4 record in the Conference, ranking them 4th in the Big 8.
The CRC Men's Basketball Team continues their Big 8 undefeated record with a 97-68 win at Modesto Junior College. The Hawks have three players end the night with double-doubles! The Hawks are First in the Big 8, fifth in Northern California, and eighth in the state!
MODESTO, Calif. - The Hawks are now 5-0 in Conference play! They have now improved to an overall record of 17-4. CRC travels to Modesto to face the Pirates this Friday January 24th at 5:30 PM. Modesto College comes in with a record of 10-10 overall, and 3-2 in Conference play. It looks to be a great match up against the Modesto Pirates, a team that is averaging 74.8 points a game, and is 3-4 at home this season.
PLEASANT HILL, Calif. - The Hawks start off their BIG 8 conference competition on the right foot by defeating #4 Diablo Valley College 72-64 in overtime, who were the preseason favorites for the BIG 8 championship.
