JAYCOB VELASCO SIGNS ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP WITH UNIVERSITY OF MARY (ND)April 23, 2014Jaycob Velasco signed a full NCAA Division 2 athletic scholarship to play basketball next season at the University of Mary. The University of Mary is in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and is located in Bismarck, North Dakota. Jaycob has attended Cosumnes River College for a total of three years and has been an outstanding student athlete for the basketball team.

HAWKS WIN AND ADVANCE TO THE QUARTERFINALMarch 05, 2014Men's Basketball defeated Lassen College in the 2nd round of the playoffs by a score of 88-69. Next, the Hawks will travel to Fresno to face #2 ranked Fresno City College on Wednesday, March 5th, at 7:30 PM. This will be the first meeting between the Hawks and the Fresno city Rams this season. If the Hawks come out and play like they did against Lassen, they will have a major chance to win this game.

MEN'S BASKETBALL GETS LASSEN FOR 2ND ROUND OF PLAYOFFSFebruary 26, 2014The Hawks enter the 2014 CCCAA Men's Basketball Northern California Regional playoff bracket ranked 7th. CRC will start the bracket off in the 2nd round, facing number 10th ranked Lassen College on Friday February 28th, at 7:00 PM, at Cosumnes River College.

HAWKS FACE SANTA ROSA FOR THE BIG 8 TITLEFebruary 21, 2014It all comes down to the last game of the regular season for the Hawks as they square off with Santa Rosa. CRC is currently 2nd in the Big 8 Conference with an overall record of 22-7, and a conference record of 10-3. Santa Rosa is 1st in the Conference with an overall record of 18-8, and a conference record of 11-2. The two teams will meet for the second time this season on Friday, February 21st at 7:30 in Santa Rosa.

HAWKS HAVE A BIG 2ND HALF TO BEAT SACRAMENTOFebruary 11, 2014Sacramento, Calif. The Hawks defeated Sacramento City College 85-76. CRC improves to 21-5 overall, and 9-1 in the Conference, ranking them 1st in the Big 8, and 6th in the state! Sacramento City College falls to 12-12 overall, 5-5 in the Conference, ranking them 4th in the Big 8.

TJ WILLIAMS LEADS THE HAWKS IN A CLOSE WIN OVER DVCFebruary 04, 2014Elk Grove, Calif. The CRC Men's basketball team wins a thriller 62-61 over Diablo Valley College. With this win, the Hawks remain first place in the Big 8 with an overall record of 19-5, and a 7-1 record in the Conference. Diablo Valley College now has an overall record of 16-6, and a 4-4 record in the Conference, ranking them 4th in the Big 8.

HAWKS REMAIN UNBEATEN IN THE BIG 8January 27, 2014The CRC Men's Basketball Team continues their Big 8 undefeated record with a 97-68 win at Modesto Junior College. The Hawks have three players end the night with double-doubles! The Hawks are First in the Big 8, fifth in Northern California, and eighth in the state!

THE HAWKS LOOK TO STAY UNBEATEN IN THE BIG 8January 23, 2014MODESTO, Calif. - The Hawks are now 5-0 in Conference play! They have now improved to an overall record of 17-4. CRC travels to Modesto to face the Pirates this Friday January 24th at 5:30 PM. Modesto College comes in with a record of 10-10 overall, and 3-2 in Conference play. It looks to be a great match up against the Modesto Pirates, a team that is averaging 74.8 points a game, and is 3-4 at home this season.

They’ll look to extend that streak to five games tonight, when they close out the tournament and their nonconference schedule against host Chabot.

The Hawks return to action today when they meet Las Positas at 1 PM in the tournament’s second day of competition.

The Hawks closed the weekend with a 2-1 performance in the tournament, following a pair of victories against Simpson JV and Feather River. CRC enters the holiday break with a 10-3 record.

CRC RALLIES, COMES UP SHORT AGAINST LASSEN ON THE ROADDecember 14, 2013CRC men’s basketball dropped a tight game last night on the road to Lassen, 95-85, in the first game of the 1st Annual Lassen College Classic. The Hawks, who were down by as much as 24 points in this contest, closed the gap to four points before the Cougars put the game away late in the second half. CRC will look to rebound later today when they take on Simpson at 4 PM.
